What does an idea begin with, how does one overcome the disbelief that this one is to become a work; perhaps some outward circumstances or influences urge the beginning.

The exhibition “Sākums” examines the moment when an idea is only just being born — what it begins with, how to overcome disbelief and doubt, why this particular thought must be brought to life as a work. Perhaps outward circumstances give the inspiration, perhaps it is an inner impulse. Each work is a “starting point”, the moment before making, when everything is still possible.
