In the exhibition “Acīs iespīd saule” the artist Daiga Krūze turns to the landscape as a space of emotional and inner experience.
The artist personifies the landscape as a companion and a supporting presence, one with whom experience and feeling can be shared. This mutual relation makes a space in which it is possible to step out of the rhythm of the everyday and simply be.
In the exhibition the landscape becomes a place for reflection, for conversation and for play, where inner states are recognised and given expression. It is a space in which experience arises — quiet, unmediated and present.
